Dan Le Batard Is ¿Highly Questionable? is a 30-minute sports talk show hosted by Dan Le Batard, a writer for the Miami Herald.[1] The show, which aired its debut on ESPN2 on Monday, September 12, 2011, airs weekday afternoons at 4pm ET as part of ESPN2's new afternoon block.[2] DLHQ is produced by the creators of ESPN's Pardon the Interruption (where LeBatard had been a guest host) and is "an opinion show with humor." It features Le Batard and his father Gonzalo Le Batard, known as "Papi." [3] The show's name comes from its producer Erik Rydholm (who is also the executive producer of PTI).[2][3] The show is filmed on a set that resembles a kitchen, and has Dan, Gonzalo, and a guest answering a series of sports related questions in a talk show format.

Segments

The show is broken into 4 segments. Each segment utilizes a question-answer format, with questions for the non-guest segments coming from fans.

Opening Questions

The first segment is not explicitly named during the show. It features an introduction by Dan and then moves into a discussion using questions from viewers. Gonzalo reads questions from a laptop computer that is on the desk in front of him, and Dan will respond directly to the camera, discuss the question with his father, or both.

Guest Interview

During the second segment, Dan interviews a sports figure. The questions are usually related to a current issue or event in sports, and Dan often asks about the guests life outside of sports. Papi asks the final question, usually about topics unrelated to sports such as the subject's first love, first kiss and their father.

Do You Question

The third segment is a repeat of the first segment, a fact that Dan regularly jokes about during the show. The only difference is that they begin with "Do you question..."

Sí or No

The final segment of the show relates to television programming. The producers request of viewers shows that air in primetime. The producer, in voice-over, asks Dan and Gonzalo if they will watch the shows and each responds with "Sí" or "No" and holding up a placard with his response. The shows are a combination of sports and nature programming.

On-set Guests

Occasionally, a special guest can be seen utilizing the kitchen, supposedly without Dan or Gonzalo noticing. Special guests have included Pat Riley, Kimbo Slice, Sebastian the Ibis, and Isaiah Thomas, among others.
